1. Introduction

BlockshipEx ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data when you use our logistics platform and services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Shipment data — sender and receiver names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and shipment contents
  • Account data — email address and password (hashed) for admin accounts
  • Usage data — pages visited, tracking lookups, and interaction logs
  • Uploaded files — compliance documents and parcel photos uploaded through our platform, stored via Uploadcare
  • Payment data — payment amounts and statuses; we do not store cryptocurrency wallet keys or transaction credentials

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Process and track shipments
  • Send transactional emails (shipment confirmations, status updates, payment notifications)
  • Comply with customs and regulatory requirements
  • Improve our platform and services
  • Prevent fraud and ensure platform security

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Tracking Page & Public Data

Shipment tracking pages at /tracking/[trackingNumber] are publicly accessible to anyone with the tracking number. Shipment details including sender/receiver names, route, and status are visible on these pages.

Shippers should exercise discretion when sharing tracking numbers, as they provide access to shipment details.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

  • Neon (PostgreSQL) — database hosting for all shipment and account data
  • Uploadcare — file storage for compliance documents and parcel photos
  • Resend — transactional email delivery

Each provider operates under their own privacy policy and data processing agreements. We select providers that maintain appropriate security standards.

6. Data Retention

Shipment records are retained for a minimum of 7 years to comply with customs and tax regulations. Uploaded documents are retained for the duration of the associated shipment record. Account data is retained until account deletion is requested.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted database connections, hashed passwords, and HTTPS-only access. However, no system is completely secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities

To exercise these rights, contact us through our contact page.

9. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication purposes only. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect authentication functionality.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
